Like plant corpses taste delicious to Monks. So that makes the ants, what carnivorous monks? adepts of anti-Dudleyism? I don't know.

Too long for such a simple inversion joke. Also, not sure about telepathic ants ... certainly not sure about why all the ants left except one.

They're not necessarily telepathic- the comic's just showing everything instead of just what Dudley sees. Also, probably the group was just separated and came at Duds from different directions. I lol'd anyway. Filler panels are ok as long as there's no dialogue, so it wasn't too long.

I agree, there's no reason for the other ants to leave; the filler panels just prolong the joke build-up unnecessarily, thus hurting the joke itself. Which isn't that good to start with.

The ants are clearly telepathic and do not exhibit typical ant-like behaviour as evidenced by the bible of ant farming - Maxis's SimAnt.

Slandor got the real joke here. It's normal to eat a corpse, but it's pretty embarrassing to be seen eating Dudley's corpse.

The only slight nitpick is one from the writing classes I've taken: the point of view shifts at some point from Dudley as second-person to the ant being second-person. Last edited: Tue, 27 Oct 2009 17:31:56
