Trolls question
ajbRad - May 16, 2010 02:24AM

I just had an idea that may or may not be useful. Is it possible to stop a troll corpse from reviving if I put the corpse in a container? What if I put the corpse in my inventory, etc.? Would these prevent reviving? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help... :-)

Sure. Put the corpse in a box or chest and lock it.

You'll overload yourself, which is bad. And the
troll corpse will revive anyway.

You can also eat the corpse or let your get eat it
to prevent reviving.

Just a note; I see that your question hasn't got
answered for a long time. To get faster answers
you may want to ask your questions in the Usenet
newsgroup rec.games.roguelike.nethack.

An even later answer...

This does work with chests/boxes. There's nothing to stop you dumping a corpse in these, and locking it. I seem to remember you even get a rattling noise when they revive (Ice boxes, they might not even get the chance, I'd guess).

Favorite disposal method myself is dumping them in a body of water. You even get to see them drown next turn.
