dgamelaunch features
Stroller - January 01, 2010 06:02PM

It would be nice to have the sorting feature of the active player list in the dgamelauncher extended.
Currently it's either unsorted(?) - what is that used for? -, or sorted by name, or by idle time.
I find it helpful to sort as well by start time/date - to easily find longer lasting games (together with the idle time).
But why not extending the sorting to all 5 table attributes and removing "unsorted" mode completely.

This is already how the dgamelaunch devel version works. You can see it in action if you telnet to port 14332

Great, thanks! :-)

One other point about dgamelaunch...
I wonder why you changed the page forward/backward behaviour (WRT the last displayed page) in the current version. The way it was implemented in a former version was much more intuitive; i.e. you were able to page forward '>' to the last page and then backward '<' and will find the same games at the same screen location and listed under the same letter.
I am aware that the last page was not completely filled that way, but the ergonomic drawback is more severe, IMO, than the, umm.., advantage to stuff more games on the last page.

I've put this into the dgamelaunch TODO; I can't promise when I get around to it though...
