I Just won a Sporkhack game (Yay!) and I got the same message. (Boo!) Is this being corrected? I only ask because part of my enjoyment of the game is being able to share my victories with others.

Not really a death, but a very silly experience a while back: Very early on, in a ranger game, I came across a very large leprechaun hall; 5 X 12, so 60 leprechauns in it. Unfortunately, before I realized this, I had kicked the door down, which awoke every leprechaun in the room simultaneously. Within seconds, they descended on me, stole all my gold, and proceeded to zip around, teleporting

Well, I don't have the coding knowledge to fix the bugs and I'm too addicted to stop playing, so I guess I'm stuck. There definitely seems to be an issue with the long worm code. I just played again and got an error message when I hit the tail of a long worm saying something like, "No tail segment at ."

Is there anything I can do to help prevent this? This makes the fourth time Sporkhack has crashed on me.

I was just playing Sporkhack, (and doing very well; down to dungeon level 45) when suddenly, I got a message saying "Oops! press space to continue." When I pushed space, a message flashed on the screen that said something like "Suddenly, the dungeon collapses..." (it flashed by too quickly for me to read) and then it dumped me back to the log-in screen. When I tried playing

Try dropping unidentified items in a shop and then say "no" to selling them. The price the shopkeeper offers gives you a clue about how valuable the item is. Can be useful for figuring out what are the most valuable scrolls or potions, what armour/weapons are positively enchanted, whether or not a lamp is magic, etc. (The list goes on) I like to use this technique to figure out what

You can also steal items without killing by polymorphing yourself into a nymph or having a nymph pet. (You'll have to be careful with the polymorphing, though; nymphs don't have many hit points) I think foocubi can steal stuff too.

I must be looking in the wrong place, then. The link on the main page takes me here... http://alt.org/nethack/sporktop.php ...and that only shows the scores for revision 621, whereas the game that's on the server is revision 764. I just finished a game of it and it didn't show up on the high score list in the above-mentioned link. is there another scorelist I should be looking at?

I notice that there's a news post on the main site saying that Sporkhack has been updated. Is there a high score list for the new version?

Back when I was a newb, (not on this server) I found out the hard way that if you're levitating and you move over a sink, you fall down and injure yourself. It worked with perfect comedic timing: I quaffed from the sink and it turned out to be levitation potion. (Levitate, *crash*, injured) Then I drank a few more times and I "found a ring in the sink." I tried the ring on and it wa

Well, I started a new Sporkhack game and got all the way to Orcus' level in Gehennom and as soon as I pushed the ">" key to go downstairs from there, it crashed in the same manner. It seems to be impossible to complete the game in its current state. (Which would explain why the high scores list doesn't include any ascensions) I hope you don't feel like I'm pestering you with the

Sorry to trouble you, but my Sporkhack game crashed the other day in the same manner as before with the "There is already a game in progress under your name. Destroy old game? " message. (I guess Sporkhack is buggy) Could I have my game recovered again please?

Sorry to trouble you, but the same thing happened again. Entering the magic portal to Fort Ludios in Sporkhack crashed the game and generated the same error message. (Same game as above, but this time the portal was on a different level) I thought perhaps it was a coincidence the first time, but now I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with the scripting or something in Fort Ludios. In a

Okay, now, when I start a new game, it no longer prompts me about "destroying old game." It just goes to the character selection prompt. Does that mean my game is lost for good? Should I give up on it and start a new game? That would be disappointing, because I had a pretty good tourist game going. Please let me know.

I have the exact same problem. Sporkhack crashed when I entered the magic portal to Fort Ludios and it's been displaying that message ever since. If there's anything that can be done to restore that game, it would be much appreciated. My username is Tormuse
