Yeah, the punchline was kinda terrible... maybe I should've made the caption "Evidently, protagonist immunity doesn't apply here" or something. Hmm, what would've happened if he got three nines I wonder?

Well first things first closing the door would not work, and since Archons have first dibs on killing Dudley. Elbereth would not work either, a scroll of scare monster would work. Wizard lock would also work ( Archons can't open locked doors right? ). attack wands would be useless because of the Archon's Shields of reflection but a wand of digging would work. So it would mostly depend on what he started with. And if he did lock the door the other door might have more monsters so it's not looking to bright for Dudley.
