It's a scroll of amnesia. Normally, thinking of Maud you forget everything else. So this is an appropriate effect of confused reading (though not what actually happens).

Aha, it looks like the reason this strip disappeared in favor of mine is that they were both scheduled on the same day, and this one was being passed over because the archive is sorted by day rather than by ID number for some strange reason. Now it's been reversed somehow and this strip is being shown instead of mine, which is definitely an improvement I must admit.
