Something similar happened to me once when I was trying out a mobile port of it. All was going good before I went into a shop. There was an invisible shopkeeper and when I moved, it instantly tried to attack the shopkeeper before there was any indicator of an invisible monster.

Camperstriker is the role he's playing as. That's also why the @ is cyan ;)
