This strip's author has an excellent sense of comedic timing. After all the playing-on-color strips, here's a trope from the past.

(Or is it a cliche?)

What color potion do you pour over a trope/cliche to turn it into a meme?

Why a wide-angle beam?

Other than that, it's funny.

Took me three times before understanding... but good work. and only gods have a wide angled.

I think this joke has been done before in Dudley's Dungeon I.

Still, nice.

There are a few editorial mistakes, but the joke is still solid.

I think it works better if you leave it at the first 2 panels. Good nonetheless.

E, -1 for wide-angled.

#1: I think it's more of a "blast" from the past.
