This was very well set up.
Hawkes (who has never done archaeology or ecology, and doesn't mind blowing shit away in computer games)

Also,...ancient food ration???...I might want to avoid eating that, for reasons other than historical significance...
I remember this game (I think it was Pogo's Tripeaks) where you could open an ancient chest and find "a delicious cupcake! (and it's still fresh!)" That one always made me feel a little guilty.
