Nice comic. How about no login at all now? I don't want auto-login, I want no login at all! I want to be able to put whatever name I want (like the other one)! Are you worried about people impersonating others? Have optional login! Just don't force it, you will reduce your comments and ratings. (I only register to complain about being forced to register.)

You could make it so people don't have to log in to comment, and just leave their name plain black to avoid impersonation. You could also just leave the name-box-thingy there for those who want to be able to vote, and then use a different name to comment. If, for some reason, they ever wanted to do that. Neat comic.

I had wondered if anonymous commenting might not be a good idea. I had just figured it would attract trolls. The old comic did until Dion added that security question. Also, I can only imagine some features would be unavailable for anonymous users -- like editing comments and rating comics. (There needs to be some way to tell who's voting... unless you want to track it by IP address or some such...)

In was betting on Dig-Dug as well. But Boulderdash is great. When you login from an old strip you end up logged in at the newest strip?

acheron: there's an option to make them display as 0. Which is more fitting, in my opinion, since zeros look more like boulders. Also, lovely comic. I like the perspective-screw. Just like that kicking cursed ring of levitation one back in original DD.

Perhaps if you allow unicode, the punter will be happy naming herself ⦰⦱⦲⦳⦴۪۫∅ in lieu of Nemo or whatever got old. It's not like you're demanding a Facebook like or something. Maybe a footer with a TOS requiring all comers to have a go at some pornography and complete 4 offers from 'local' chain retailers, or perhaps require people to bid on daily deal discounts at a chain used-clothing store (Savers and maybe 20 others maybe counting Hezb'ull'a) against a spread.
