Pyrolisks are pretty harmless if you have a blindfold. If you don't have telepathy, you might want to drop paper items to take an occasional peek. Once you are resistant, just bag them and fight as normal. I don't understand why everybody makes such a fuss about pyrolisks.

Now that I know the point of the joke, I give it a Fair. Good idea, but sadly didn't really get me to laugh.

I don't know if it would add to or detract from the game to have situations where what one is carrying must be dropped like it's hot. For instance when it's hot. :) There are some similar instances, where one loses belongings in a near-drowning, right? But that happens automatically. No strategy, like, "can I put out the fire in my pack before I burn to a crisp, or had I better just drop it and see if I can come back for the charred remains later?".
