Well, besides the yawning for LOTR reference - I thought a bit about it, and floating eye is not _that_ unfunny imho.

I think this comic is getting a bad rap. Worthy of fair to good. Shorter would have been better.....maybe start with #4 and condense the long panel.

I love stupid puns too, so the floating eye made me laugh. That's some good feedback from Layne though, the first panels could've been skipped and it probably didn't need the magic-mapping explanation bit at all. Groaner pun-like jokes are usually best when either short and sweet, or super crazy long drawn-out shaggy dog stories. Which I don't think Dudley would handle too well.. oh no, now I might have to try one like that anyway, I apologize to all of you in advance.
