Please explain reference.

#2 acheron Thu, 25 Jun 2009 04:07:08
Yeah, I don't get this one either.

Just guessing that... Some of the multiplayer online games have zones depending on how you want to play. A metal nut might be a bullet? But yes, too obscure without a clearer reference.

One word: Stalker

#5 Asmodean Thu, 25 Jun 2009 09:39:56
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalker_(film)
probably more commonly known is the game loosely based on the film: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

would be perfect with some subtle shifting of the background foilage

The footnote and the white "E" are more than necessary to get the joke :)

This is an example of background info I had no idea about, but was glad to have learned - it feels like something I should have known already - so I give it a good rating despite the relative obscurity.

Stalker is a nice film, and I understand well that not everyone has seen it.

Huh, no comic today? Is paxed still on holiday or is it just the lack of new strips?

#14 neovigo Fri, 26 Jun 2009 09:26:52
I have two unscheduled strips, including one that I think is good enough to make it for the front page - and yet it has not been scheduled for a week...

We really need some sort of feedback from paxed why a strip has been rejected, and a means of deleting rejected strips - so they don't become trash in our profile page.

Perhaps paxed is just busy. I suggest we should point some moderators who could be able to approve (and put into the schedule) comics in addition.

#16 Orl Fri, 26 Jun 2009 12:57:28
and why not a system to schedule comics automatically?
If they are that bad, the users and the admin should be able to vote to delete them...

#17 Slandor Fri, 26 Jun 2009 18:45:16
I have a new strip over at the extremely select, refined site, if anyone needs their Dudley fix: http://sadowl.com/dudley/

(Hope it's OK to post a link to that site -- especially because it's continuing the "feud.")

#18 ctaboir Fri, 26 Jun 2009 23:18:41
Rather a bad strip than none? IMHO... YES! Definitely!
And there are plenty of these (I know for myself!)(I mean my really bad unpublished strips)

#19 paxed Sat, 27 Jun 2009 06:00:17
Slandor: if you see the "About" link, I already link to the sadowl-Dudley.

xCheckPoint: I've been kinda busy lately...

Orl: It's already possible to schedule comics.

neovigo: I'll put in a place for strip feedback when I have some time.

P because I don't get the reference.

Nobody's mentioned the book the film is based on (Roadside Picnic). It also has metal nuts.
