Arguably, Dogley has always been the wiser of the two. L was the one to establish that convention, I think.

anyone else having off-and-on problems accessing the site? At times it redirects to some domain thing as if alt.org isn't registered.

#5: The problem is that there are (or were) two, independent DNS records being propgated. One was for the real alt.org and the other a cybersquatter. I've also discovered Firefox doesn't do DNS lookup on just a normal reload; you have to do a shift-Reload to get it to try again.

Those cybersquatting sites make me absolutely sick... especially with all their crap links, like someone's really going to go "oh, the stuff I was actually looking for is mysteriously gone, but how handy! I really could go for meeting some singles now that I think about it! I'll trust this new generic site to direct me in my search!"
