Yes. And presumably slaughtered the archliches, and everything else on his path to the high altar, now that newts are no more.

E for nEwts. However, I'd like to be the one to nickpick that it should be "You have found a scroll of genocide!" and "Wiped out all newts.", not "This is a scroll of genocide." and "Genocided all newts." Last edited: Tue, 25 May 2010 03:23:16

I'd say this was one of the more subtle newt jokes. But a third and fourth panel would have been a better addition than the footnote. Panel 3 would just have "Much, much later..." and panel 4 would show our hapless hero ascending.

I like the footnote rather than the extra panels (though maybe I would've started it after the comma).

This is the funniest strip I've seen in a long time. I don't think it needs either the footnote or any extra panels, just him saying "Newts!" is the best part.
