@mijae: I was thinking of Dudley poly'ed in a newt. And for the 100% ascension rate trick, it suppose wand of poly, ring of poly control, and amulet of unchanging, all 3 available at turn 1 or 2. Which in fact would require a bit of start-scumming, I suppose. Cheating! And I promise, my next ascension on NAO (if any...) will be while polymorphed into a newt!

Actually, there's a typo. The comic strip says "In return _from_ thy service, [...]", but it's actually "In return _for_ thy service, [...]"
Anyway, I just love newt jokes!
EDIT: What am I complaining about mistakes of other people and typo away myself?

You can poly w/ polycontrol right at the start of the game if you use the Polyhack patch. It's awesome. Play as a mindflayer, a goblin, or a horse. (Having no hands means kicking down every closed door!)
You can also play in wizmode (if your system lets you do that) -- wish for the ring, potion, and amulet, do your polymorphing, pop on the amulet, and don't do any other wishing the rest of the game.
I'm not sure how far player-character newts can level up.
On the other hand, it seems as though an amulet is too heavy for a newt to wear (as in, so heavy you can't move), even if you're wearing nothing else. I feel cheated! Someone needs to write a patch or game for havoc-wreaking newts, kind of like Chickhack.
To all (except the one current mediocre rating, but that's life, no problem), well, Many Many Thanks to all for Your Support! I did not expect that! (but seeing my previous submitted as well as unsubmitted strips, sure I cannot predict how a strip will be appreciated. Specifically to CuleX really sorry about the typo, especially while first panel is mostly cut & paste from wizmode: no excuse at all! Again my promise: no more newt joke submitted by myself! And again, to be honest, until the next one! None yet to come, hopefully! I used the desired new feature to delete every strip yet unscheduled. And not sure it's worth precising: in last panel bottom text, there's a newt, but yellow text on white background... Again many thanks to all!

Lol. But... you didn't _play_ as a newt; I can tell by your "latest messages" (and the fact that you had an inventory) that you played as a dwarf and polied into a newt at the last second.
