A comic is never as good as it could be when it is preachy. (Which in this case is ironic.) But the fireball effect is nice!

Hmm...fair. Wait, how did he get to the valley knowing only force bolt and fireball? If he's a caster, he should know more spells, if he's a fighter, what's he doing slinging around fireballs?
